← Back to Design and Construction Management for Well No. 16—Crescenta Valley Water District

Originally owned by Glendale Water & Power, Well 16 was taken over by Crescenta Valley Water District (CVWD) after a well report indicated that the water exceeded MCLs for nitrates. To equip the well and connect it to CVWD’s  discharge pipeline to the treatment plant. CVWD selected Cannon to provide professional engineering and design services, construction bidding documents, and construction management of the installation of the necessary facilities for Well No. 16. Cannon’s scope of work included pumping system design (with wellhead); discharge and waste discharge piping; electric equipment for the pump; all mechanical equipment; emergency generator connections; a monitoring, controls, and SCADA system; mechanical equipment for ventilation and plumbing; a building to house the electrical equipment, wellhead, and well discharge piping; and on-site drainage, paving, piping, and drought tolerant landscaping and irrigation.
