Overview

Lynch Canyon field was set for expansion from 400 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) to 2,500 BOPD. To do so, Cannon was contracted to provide electrical engineering, project management, technical and survey services for the new East Plant facility.   The new facility included the following: new tank battery with tank vapor recovery equipment to handle increased oil, wastewater and gas production; produced water handling equipment; new steam generator site and water filtration/softening equipment; expanded wastewater injection system; electrical, instrumentation and control infrastructure; H2S treatment equipment; and pipelines connecting the new facilities to existing field facilities. Electrical services included design of a new substation, design of new motor control centers, design of the electrical distribution, preparation of specifications for procurement, and preparation of drawings for permitting.
