Overview

The Orcutt Area Specific Plan encompasses 435 acres, and when complete, will add a new neighborhood to the City of San Luis Obispo. Adjacent to the existing Edna Islay area, the specific plan calls for the development of approximately 900 to 980 residential homes and a small neighborhood commercial services area. The homes range from single family to multi-family residential. One of San Luis Obispo’s scenic volcanic hills and nearby Cottonwood Creek network will provide a recreation/preservation area for the project.

Cannon was selected to prepare the Specific Plan and annexation documents; obtain permits and agency approvals; coordinate the dissemination of information to affected property owners; prepare and present at neighborhood meetings, Planning Commission and City Council hearings, and LAFCO meetings.

Cannon also prepared conceptual designs for sewer, water and drainage systems as well as the aerial topographic survey.
