Righetti Ranch Master Planned Community

Righetti Ranch is a master-planned community development with more than 300 single-family homes located among the rolling hills of San Luis Obispo. Of these, Williams Homes is developing 86 lots that are each 4,500 square feet. This community emphasizes the heritage of Righetti Hill, which the development surrounds, with featured bike paths and walking trails, protected wildlife and riparian areas, and ample open space.

In addition to land-use planning for the developer, Cannon provided engineering services to the home builder, including site development plans, precise grading plans, and marketing plot plans. The site development plan production included lot fit analysis, reviewing setbacks, and determining building envelopes—the building exterior that separates the interior from the outside elements. Cannon also developed precise grading plans for each lot that the developer submitted to the City of San Luis Obispo Building and Safety Division for building permit issuance. Cannon also produced marketing plot plans for the developer to provide to new homeowners.
