SPE Golf Tourney Came Out Swinging for Education

ARROYO GRANDE, CA—Cannon Classic’s Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Annual Golf Tournament took place on Friday, May 26, at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande. Hosted by Cannon, a local Engineering firm, the 2017 SPE Tournament successfully raised $2,500 to benefit energy education at Santa Maria Schools.SPE Golf 04 

Over the last five years, $36,000 has been raised by the annual golf tournament to fund training programs to educate Santa Maria students on energy production and the field of engineering.. The Golf Tournament at Cypress Ridge was a success despite overcast weather. We are already looking forward to next year’s event. Thank you to all the participants and congratulations to the winners. Second Net Team- Mike Slason, Robert Rogers, Craig Estrada, Mike Plowman
Terry Smith won the “Closest to Pin” at Hole 11 and Brian Clancy scored the “Longest Drive” at Hole 9.
