Overview
To increase capture and infiltration of stormwater, the City of Anaheim decided to install an underground storm water detention and infiltration system under an existing 37,000-square-foot parking lot.
The City selected Cannon to provide engineering and surveying services for the installation of the pre-manufactured infiltration/detention system, installation of two laterals to divert dry weather flow and storm water into and out of the infiltration/detention system, removal and replacement of the existing pavement with pervious pavement, and installation of a stormwater diversion structure to divert flows from an existing 48-inch reinforced concrete storm. The system is designed to capture and infiltrate a minimum of 182 acre-feet per year of dry weather runoff and first flush of storm water to reduce pollutant discharge to the Bolsa Chica Channel.
