The County of San Luis Obispo maintains Hutton Road, which provides frontage access along the US101, at the Southern end of Nipomo. Improvements for lane widening and bicycle lanes were badly needed after years of deterioration and general wear and tear. Widening of Hutton Road consisted of an area which extends from Nipomo Creek to Route 166, a distance of approximately 1,500 linear feet.
Cannon provided engineering and funding administration services for this project.
The engineering and design scope of work included design plans, specifications, and cost estimate for superelevation correction, widening travel lanes, striping to support a center two-way left turn lane, widening and improvement of the shoulders, guardrail improvements, cross sections, topographic survey and right-of-way, construction staking, SWPPP preparation, and coordination with Caltrans.
Cannon provided federal-aid funding administration services, which included obtaining construction funding authorization, preparing and processing the PS&E certification package and Caltrans Award package, preparing progress and final invoices, and preparing the completion package.Back to Market
