In response to the mitigation set forth by the Air Pollution Control District (APCD) for the Irish Hills Plaza project, Madonna Enterprises entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City and APCD to construct a Class I Bicycle Path to connect areas west of Highway 101 to the San Luis Obispo Downtown area.
Cannon was retained to provide civil engineering services, working with the design team to obtain preliminary approvals and building permits for the construction of about two-thirds of a mile of bicycle path. The pathway begins at the Cerro San Luis Parking Lot at 101 and Marsh Street, running southerly and parallel with the Caltrans right of way to the existing Madonna Inn Site. The pathway then continues southwesterly through the Madonna Inn property to a point of connection with new sidewalk improvements at Madonna Road at the Madonna Inn Entry.
The scope of work included preliminary and final grading plans, drainage improvements and calculations, coordination with the City on the project, and bid assistance and construction administration services.Back to Service
