March Air Reserve Base Training Center

March Air Reserve Base, previously known as March Air Force Base, is in the Moreno Valley in Riverside County, California. Cannon worked with Ravatt Albrecht & Associates to provide structural design services associated with the proposed Training Center at the Base. The new 40,096 square-foot facility would serve as a Naval Operations and Supply Center.

The new facility consisted of a single-story structure constructed from reinforced concrete masonry units (CMUs). Cannon’s scope of work included conceptual design, construction documentation, and construction administration. Construction documents for the project included three design reviews and submittals, structural drawings, and a structural calculation package supporting the design. Construction administration services provided by Cannon included responses to contractor generated field questions (RFIs), review of contractor submittals, site visits, and as-built drawings upon the project’s completion.
