Diatomite Steam Generation

This steam generation site is in San Joaquin Valley’s South Belridge Oil Field and is an integral part of a full-scale steam drive to develop the Diatomite reservoir. Cannon provided engineering and surveying services for this $12-million facility on a compressed, 10-month engineering-procurement-construction schedule. The scope of Cannon’s services included site topographic and construction surveying; process design completion; preparation of piping and instrumentation diagrams; plant layout; piping design, including stress analysis; equipment specifications; instrument and controls design, including instrument specifications and programming support; high and low voltage electrical design; grading and drainage design; structural design for equipment foundations and pipe supports; and technical construction support.
