Grilling Tri-tip for Water Wells
San Luis Obispo, California, July 10, 2017 – Once again, Cannon’s Well Worth It Campaign – a charitable effort to build clean water projects for villages around the world – is grilling up tri-tip dinners to raise funds to build new water wells for those in need. This is Cannon’s seventh annual “Well Worth It Drive-Thru BBQ” and is a greatly anticipated event every year. The Drive-Thru BBQ takes place on July 26, 2017 at 1050 Southwood Drive in San Luis Obispo and runs from 4:00-6:00pm.
By purchasing a $45 ticket, participants not only provide clean water to a developing community, but they also receive a whole barbecued tri-tip, beans, bread, and salad to feed 4-5 people. Fortunately, you don’t have to live or work in SLO to participate in the fun; deliveries are available from Paso Robles to Santa Maria—just let us know when you make your purchase!
If barbecue isn’t your thing, but helping others is, we are partnering with CAPSLO and the Vets Center to donate dinners to local families and veterans in need. When purchasing a dinner, just let us know and we’ll take care of the rest. In the past, Cannon’s Well Worth It Campaign has provided dinners to more than 225 local families and veterans. That means your donations have benefited both the local community and our global neighbors!
Cannon’s Well Worth It Campaign began in 2010 as a proactive response to learning about the global water crisis. As engineers, planners, and surveyors, we thrive on finding solutions to problems, and Cannon’s Well Worth It Campaign is our platform to raise awareness and funds to provide clean drinkable water to some of the world’s poorest communities. To date, the Campaign has raised more than $100,000 in funds and has built over 20 wells in places throughout Africa and Asia.
Care to volunteer or wish to make a donation directly to the cause? Let us know and we can sign you up!
