Cal Poly Utility Master Plan
As part of the effort to develop a master plan for the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus, the university required confirmation that adequate infrastructure was available to support planned growth. Founded in 1901, the campus had both aging and new innovative infrastructure; however, it lacked a utility master plan. Cannon, teamed with Affiliated Engineers, Inc., was selected to assess the condition of the utilities and provide civil engineering services in development of the utility master plan for sanitary sewer, water, storm drain, and utility gas. As part of this project, the team evaluated the current utility condition and capacity, identified risks and deficiencies, incorporated sustainability and efficiency components, and provided recommendations for future growth.
