Coastal Christian School Improvements

The Coastal Christian School is a private, K-12 school located in Pismo Beach, California. During a winter storm, the site experienced a landslide that covered the playfield and playground with mud and debris leaving the students without outdoor recess space. Cannon was selected to prepare plans to remove the mudflow debris and stabilize the site with temporary erosion control measures to prevent another landslide event or further erosion during the next rainy season.

Cannon provided a winterization plan for the site and civil engineering services for a new high school multipurpose room, classrooms, and outdoor recreation fields development.

Cannon’s scope also included civil engineering improvements, such as grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater control for the new classroom development. Cannon developed a preliminary grading and utility plan as part of a request to modify an existing land use permit. In addition, Cannon prepared the construction documentation and provided construction administration.
