Lost Hills Field Expansion

A large oil company was constructing a new heavy oil facility and expanding their thermal production. The project encompassed two separate producing zones and was expected to increase in supply from 300 to approximately 45,000 barrels of oil per day. Cannon was selected to assist with engineering design and surveying services. The project scope included high- and low-pressure steam injection systems; wet lease automatic custody transfer measurements to determine royalties; centralized treatment facilities; produced water filtration and softening processes; and steam distribution systems. The project required acquisition of 30 easements for facilities and pipeline corridors. To allow early steam production, the team implemented a two-stage delivery schedule using a combination of permanent and temporary rental equipment.
