Carpinteria Sanitary District SCADA Consulting and Support Services

Carpinteria Sanitary District needed a trusted consultant to operate as an extension of staff and provide timely, reliable, and efficient support of its SCADA and control systems. The District provides wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal services to approximately 5,000 accounts, including residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial zones. Their wastewater treatment facility processes 2.5 million gallons per day of conventional wastewater. The collection system, which transports water to this facility, includes around 50 linear miles of sewer pipeline and seven remote pump stations.

Cannon was selected to provide as-needed SCADA consulting and support services for the District’s wastewater operations. Cannon’s services included troubleshooting of existing processes, SCADA system modifications and integration, tasks for process improvement, provision of hardware and software, and software transitions. Cannon helped streamline existing PLC, improve PLC disinfection processes, and improve reliability of SCADA connection to lift station telemetry.
