Rhinestones for Water

11/08/2011

On October 20, 2011, Cannon employees, along with their friends and family, gathered in the SLO office to drink some wine, eat some great food, and get an early jump on their holiday shopping!  Hundreds of jewelry pieces were available for purchase with $10 of every purchase benefiting Cannon’s Well Worth It Campaign.

People mingled in “Loosie’s Lounge,” perusing necklaces, bracelets, earrings, scarves, and shirts, with wine and snacks in-hand.  It was a casual, fun evening which gave those in attendance, an opportunity to shop for a cause.

“Wine and jewelry are a dangerous combination,” said Laurie Fox jokingly, Project Coordinator for the Santa Monica office. She was the one who provided all of the jewelry forthis fundraising event.

Laurie continued, “The people who work at Cannon are so generous, that it seemed like a fun idea to have a jewelry party to support the Campaign efforts.”  And it was indeed a successful event!  In all, the evening raised $700 in donations to the Well Worth It Campaign. But Rhinestones for Water didn’t stop there.

After the success of the first jewelry party, Laurie has continued hosting parties to benefit the campaign and has currently raised a total of over $2,500! Keep up the good work Laurie!
