SPE Donation to 5Cities Homeless Coalition
As a long-time member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Cannon proudly facilitated SPE’s Annual Golf Tournament Benefit for the 31st year. As an organization whose mission it is to bring technical knowledge about oil and gas resources, SPE has a lengthy history of assisting local nonprofits that helps benefit our local communities. This year, proceeds went to help support the 5Cities Homeless Coalition (5CHC) program which specializes in providing resources, support, and hope to those in need throughout Southern SLO County.
5CHC is a nonprofit program that aids in homelessness prevention through addressing how a lack of financial stability can have a life-changing impact on safety, health, education, and can lead to multi-generational homelessness. The services and programs offer intensive case management services that help empower clients to take control of finances through deposit and rental assistance. In addition, individuals and children are helped with the immediate needs, benefits advocacy, housing and other supportive services.
SPE’s golf tournament fundraiser raised $500 dollars to go towards 5CHC programs such as Rapid Rehousing, Eviction Prevention, unaccompanied Youth Mentoring and Outreach, and Supportive Services for Veteran Families. Cannon is proud to partner with SPE in contributing to this worthy cause.
