San Luis Obispo, California, July 29, 2015 – For the fifth year in a row, Cannon’s Well Worth It volunteers gathered to raise money to build wells in developing countries. Close to 30 Cannon employees and volunteers grilled up 1,450 pounds of tri-tip, served 70 gallonsof chorizo beans, sliced 175 loaves of buttery sourdough bread, and packed 350 fresh garden salads to feed more than 1,700 people. In total 293 cars passed through Cannon’s San Luis parking lot, and 43 meals were donated to local families in need.WWit-Thank-You

This year’s event raised $7,185, ensuring access to clean water for more than 300 people through the nonprofit organization, Charity:Water. To date, Cannon has raised more than $70,000 and has contributed to the construction of more than 20 wells, providing clean drinking water to people around the globe.

For the third year in a row, Cannon teamed with the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo (CAPSLO) to have donated dinners delivered to local families in need.

A total of 43 dinners were donated to families who live across SLO County. These dinners were donated by generous individuals who made their impact reach families here in our own neighborhood with a hot meal, and beyond with clean water infrastructure.

Cannon would like to thank everyone who contributed to this year’s BBQ. Individuals and businesses throughout SLO County contributed to this global and local cause.
