Cannon Ranks in Top 30 Central Coast Best Places to Work, Second Year Running


For the second year running, the Pacific Coast Business Times has recognized Cannon as one of the best places to work in the Central Coast Tri-Counties of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.

Cannon ranked among top businesses from Ventura to Paso Robles as one of the best firms with 35 employees or more. Each year, the publication reaches out to employees with a survey to collect nominations and determine the region’s best employers. Only individuals employed by the organization and based in the region may submit, and each employee is limited to one survey submission. The survey measured key factors, such as company adaptivity, leadership strategies, and whether employees feel valued in their positions.

This year, Cannon was highlighted in a special feature in the journal, titled Creating room for employees to care for themselves, family. The publication explored three employees’ experiences working at Cannon: Adrienne Bettencourt, Dinesh Peeramsetty, and Sandy Hodge. It also captured a quote from President, Mike Cannon, stating “the one thing [I have] taken the most pride in for [my] employees is being infinitely reliable. When I say I’m going to be somewhere, I am there. When I say we’re starting a meeting at a certain time, I start the meeting. When I say I’m going to show up or do something, I do it. Leadership is by example.”

Cannon participated in the ceremony that took place at Santa Barbara Zoo on June 21st, 2022, to accept the award. Chief Financial Officer, Bruce Ray, said a few words: “On behalf of Cannon, I want to thank you all for this award.
