May 1, 2016 – Thousands of runners filled the streets of San Luis Obispo, CA. in the early morning hours of May 1st for the SLO Marathon + Half. Several of those runners were some of Cannon’s very own running as the Well Worth It Team. “The SLO Marathon is such a great community event,” said Liz Moody, Cannon’s Marketing Director. “It is exactly the type of activity our Loose Cannons enjoy. And to be able to run it as a team, that much better!”
In an effort to promote Cannon’s Well Worth It Campaign, Cannon also hosted a booth at the Marathon’s SLO Life Expo. There, visitors got a chance to pick up a jerry can or two filled with water as part of the Well Worth It Water Walk Challenge. The “Challenge” gives our community an opportunity to see first-hand the struggles that millions have to endure just to get water on a daily basis. As well, Cannon’s “Wheel of Fun” allowed participants to spin for a prize.
A huge “thank you” to this year’s Well Worth It Sponsors working to help the Well Worth It Campaign reach $100,000 in funds raised! Overall, the day was filled with feats of endurance, community wellness, and cheering crowds and family fun along the streets of San Luis Obispo.
